Chat with Bible (“the app”, “we”) helps you ask questions and receive answers grounded in Scripture. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it simple: we collect as little as possible and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address (and, for Google sign-in, the basic profile Google provides) to authenticate you. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Your questions and chats. The questions you ask are processed to generate answers. We may store your chat sessions and messages associated with your account so you can return to them.
- Basic technical data. Standard logs (e.g. request metadata) used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use your information
- To provide answers to your questions and operate core features.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the service.
Third-party services
To provide the app we use trusted processors: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and an AI provider (OpenRouter / the underlying model) which processes your question text to generate an answer. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms; we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Data retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
